136179 2003-04-18 02:02:00 Hello beetle.

Sam is right just change your password that should stop the person why did have your password from now using your account now :) I know a few people who this has happened to before.

Also Monitor usage if it happens again which I should not then change ISP's ;)

Good luck & have a nice Easter :)

Hope this helps

136181 2003-04-19 01:48:00 Xtra even charge the police to do a search like that. If I was you make sure the machine is trojan-free, then take a note of all your dial-up sessions from now on for a while, and compare it to the log on My Account at Xtra week by week. This'll tell you at what times the other person logs in.

If your PC is disconnected and switched off at times when the log says your account was used, then you know it's being used remotely. Probably though your password change will have sorted the problem, but if not, it surely shows that something neferious is still going on.

136182 2003-04-19 01:53:00 Graham's right that the Xtra helpdesk crew do not have the ability to get your password - they can only reset it to a new one for you. Greg S (201)
136183 2003-04-21 23:38:00 Hey Graham

Yes Xtra hasn't given the password out to me, they gave me an idea of saying it was the same password used for the signup name mention (was needing the password to use an alias email account) but a few ISPs, I won't mention their names do give out the password over the phone, also the website doesn't encrypt the password (not a secure site, is the site mentioned above that doesn't allow ad blockers). Maybe I should mention their name here but I'm worried about who would use this information to perform illegal acts.

I've emailed them regarding this but they have not responded, so how do I make an ISP clean up their act?
