136135 2003-04-16 01:20:00 Am recovering from Hard Drive crashes and re-installing. I use the Windows Classic set-up (too old to change.) Each time I go back into Explorer I find that the folders have all reduced again. I.E. I have to re-open My Computer - Drive C etc to get at the files. I have forgotten how to select the "keep open" option and haven't got the time to fiddle as I rebuild. Can anyone put me right. I recollect it was simple but can't seem to put my finger on the right option.

Tks...

136136 2003-04-16 01:50:00 You need to edit the properties of the Windows Explorer shortcut that you use and go to the target line and make it look like this

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:\

You can change the c:\ to any folder you like.
