| 136038 | 2003-04-15 16:25:00 | Im using a windows 98se at the moment.NEarly every 2nd time I turn on my computer after installing a program my computer would boot up as normal and then displays the windows registry error at startup. Then i have to click ok.It will log off and will restore an old registry bakup. This causes me to install the program again.Windows would then be fine. The next time I install another program it would happen again. It might be the first time or the 2nd time i turn on the computer Whats causing this? How do i prevent this from happening? its really annoying seeing how i have to do things twice.Sometimes i install the 3rd program but since windows hasn't had a recent backup of the new programs i install.I have to install all 3 programs again. Thanks tammy |

| 136041 | 2003-04-15 23:07:00 | The thing is, that if she is running 98 with more than 512mb of ram, then you will get these registry problems. I know because I've had it happen previously. Easy fix is to reduce the ram to 512mb. Lo. |
