The Microsoft update site has a huge number of patches, updates etc. Should I download them all, or can I afford to ignore some - if so which? | 136396 | 2003-04-17 02:03:00 | This used to worry me but now I just get the security updates for win98se which aren't many now . Depends what you've got and what you want to keep up to date . If you never use Windows Mediaplayer for example then there's no point getting in a tizzy about whether you need the update or not . Just get the critical security patches and in my experience as a light user on a dial up it's not something to get too worried about . You most probably do not have your comp targeted by world cyber terrorists, unless you happen to use the comp in a highly sensitive agency they want to crack for monetary or ideological purposes . In sum : Most of us are too smaller fry to be of any interest . m:Dc |
