136323 2003-04-16 18:07:00 Windows 98SE, WINDVD player oem version. DVD/CD drive (not a burner). When a DVD movie automatically opens WINDVD it causes a fatal exception which closes WINDVD. When I open WINDVD first I am able to get the movie to play however there is no sound. (Music CDs play no problem). Any suggestions on how to get the sound working for DVD movies? cardienz (3613)
136324 2003-04-16 20:27:00 Firstly, try checking the Options of WinDVD, and try setting the sound options to 'Laptop' as its probably coming out but coming out VERY quietly, so set the speaker set to increase in volume from within WinDVD itself, and see how you go from there!

Hope this helps

136325 2003-04-16 20:39:00 I did try changing the volume in WIN DVD to the maximum to no effect. Not sure about the laptop suggestion but I'll try that even though it's not a laptop PC.

Thanks
