| 136335 | 2003-04-16 16:56:00 | Help! I can't seem to find the CD Drive on my computer. Usually I'll put in a CD, open windows explorer and run it from there but I can't find the drive. If I put in an audio Cd and run Real Jukebox I get "No CD drive is detected on this system." Can anyone tell me what's happened and how to fix it. | jrust (2064) | ||
| 136336 | 2003-04-16 23:05:00 | Is the CD-Rom still under warranty, if so, just take it back and ask for a new one. One of mine is out of warranty and is not very useful at this stage. The drive is detected, however, certain disc (mostly burnt CDs) will not be readable. It shows that the discs isi corrupted when not. I'm still trying to fix mine :( So if it (or the computer) is still under warranty, take it back and ask for a replacement, hoping that the drives the problem and that you'll get a new hassle-free drive! :D Good luck, |

| 136337 | 2003-04-16 23:24:00 | Has anyone been physically moving the computer recently? It is possible that a cable has come loose in the back of it (IDE). Has anybody been tweaking the BIOS recently? Someone could have disabled the CDROM drive. When your computer is booting up, see if it detects your CD ROM drive. |
