| 136504 | 2003-04-17 10:21:00 | Some time ago, I posted a query for a friend , with a newish XP, who could not download these updates. If this info is useful to anyone else, the problem was solved, after much trial and error, by sorting out that his AV programme (AVG) was not compatible with XP. Incidentally, the MS website had long lists of problems in downloading these Updates, and offered hopeful solutions. I didn't find non-compatibility of an AV programme mentioned, however. | Oliver (3618) | ||
| 136505 | 2003-04-17 10:26:00 | Hello Oliver. Welcome to Press F1. Don’t know what version of AVG you hade but I know AVG now supports Win XP, I am running it on my 3rd pc which has win XP on it, & it is running fine. Hope this helps :) |
