| 136778 | 2003-04-18 14:17:00 | Hello everyone and Happy Easter We have 2 computers, running Windows XP and Windows 200 Professional, which we are trying to network in a peer to peer connection. Both have an EtherPerfect Adapter Diskette EP-320X-R which seems to be installed and loaded correctly, with the appropriate (I think, as supplied with the XP computer) cable between them. On following all the instructions we end up with a message "Spooler Subsystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close...". However, ignoring the error message and proceeding to the end, we get a "LAN Network Speed ..." icon and a "Network Bridge 18 ... A Network Cable is unplugged" icon in the taskbar. We can't get rid of the Network Bridge icons from the taskbar or from the Network Connections The retailer says to try uninstalling and disconnecting the printer, which we tried, with no luck. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance |

To remove the bridge, go into network connections and right click your adapter and select remove from bridge, then delete the bridge. I had a similar problem a few weeks ago but I can't remember how I fixed it. Hopefully someone far more experienced will be able to help you out. Good luck :) |

On trying to delete the Network Bridge, which we don't want, we get a message "an unexpected error occurred while configuring the Network Bridge". On the taskbar we still get the icon with a message about the cable being unplugged but this will hopefully go away. We were in Nelson last weekend - great place, we will go back. Bye |
