137317 2003-04-20 08:58:00 Hi Guys, when I try to install my Sidewider wheel it finishes with the message 'Setup is updating your files' and then freezes. I 'end task' but when I try to access the Wheel profiler or control panel I get the message , 'File missing called devmgr.dll'. even tho this file IS in the Sidewinder folder.
I tried MS Help but bloody hopeless....somebody help me please.
Marcus.

Hi Marcus, Ok, this is now over my heard, I thought it would be a simple reinstall the software to fix this problem, but that will not work.

If you do not get any more reply to this post in the next few days, I suggest that you find a computer repair place & see if they can help you with this problem.

Sorry that I could not be off any more help :(

I hope you get your problem fix :)
Good luck.
Stu

137321 2003-04-21 22:46:00 Hi Marcus,

are you trying to install using the CD that came with the wheel? If so you may find the software is incompatible with XP. I have had to use the basic built-in XP drivers without the Profiler applet etc. To do this I just plugged in the wheel and let XP autodetect it.
