2013-04-02 01:04:00 | Had Microsoft Office Starter until this morning. when they click on Word or Excel they get an "request" "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? Microsoft Office Client Virtualization Handler. If no is chosen - the program won't open If choose yes: get Microsoft Word Starter 2010 can not be opened. Try again or repair the product in Control panel. Opened Control Panel, Programs, but there was no "repair" functionality associated with Microsoft Office Starter 2010. any suggestions or insights as to why Office Started has decided not to work & what part Microsoft Office Client Virtualization Handler has to play in it.

2013-04-02 01:39:00 | You could try right-click Word or Excel and choose Run as Administrator and then say Yes to the question. | CYaBro (73) | |
2013-04-02 01:41:00 | Had that happen plenty of times with customers PC's / Office starter - best solution that does work 100% uninstall Starter and reinstall it. Mind you I got the OPK being a MS partner so its easy to do that.

2013-04-02 02:09:00 | The right click run as admin works but still comes up with the "request"\ as far as a reinstall - don't have that ability - thank you though.

2013-04-02 02:24:00 | You "may" be able to reinstall it from its own installation file, never done it, so no idea if it will work or not, if you try, I'd clone the drive as is first, just in case. The files are hidden, but under C:\Program Data\Microsoft\OEMOffice14 | wainuitech (129) | |
