1309508 2012-10-30 01:02:00 Looks like I'm selling my s2 and upgrading to a Nexus 4!!. Anyone have any idea on NZ availability/prices? I'll probably get my cousin to buy from Aussie and ship over at this stage.

Looks like the 16GB model is around half the price of the 16GB iPhone 5!! It will have the upcoming Android 4.2 alongside a 4.7" 1280 x 768 with 320ppi screen, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor along with a full 2GB of RAM. Also includes an 8MP rear camera, 3MP front camera and wireless charging.

The only things it doesn't seem to have is 4G and a microSD slot, both of which I'm not worried about currently, 16GB was plenty on my iPhone and my current 32GB card is basically empty.

Overall thoughts on it?

The idea behind it is there's no need for one if you store your stuff online. If you're going to store it all on your phone then there's a good chance even 16GB won't be enough for you.

I'm gonna list my One X on TradeMe in about two weeks and sell it, hopefully the fact my One X is running AOSP Jellybean will be a bit of a selling point for it :D

It was from an android site so I won't call total BS on it. It went on the lines of this. Google always wanted phones not to have sd slots, but due to apple buying up all the NAND flash, android phone makers couldn't get there hands on enough, hence the reason makers put sd slots in and nexus products didn't plod (107)

I'll load up on around 1-2GB of apps leaving me with around 10GB for music then a bit left over for photos/videos from the camera. As long as I don't keep a lot of HD videos on there it will be fine!

If I'm going away I can always hook up a 32GB flash drive if I don't have my laptop with me. Doesn't seem like any issue to me but each to their own. As it stands I don't use all my storage at the moment so why not?
