If you have nod32 setup, you will have gotten a message like this: 4920 Note: (had to use a older off line installer to generate the version updater) the latest version came out on 3 April 2013 |

It may be possible it is getting past the Version 4 even updated, yet being stopped with V5 up etc if you see what Im getting at. NOD AV v5 He's had a bit of 'history' of infections that I can see in the AV logs, so while It should be expected that NOD should have blocked/detect it, it was really just a matter of time before this guy got his PC re-infected regardless. Nod seems to be getter better at detecting blocking malware over the last 2 years, It's just had a bad run a few years back of it missing malware on more than a few corporate installs. Sort of tainted my opinion of NOD somewhat, but still the best of a bad bunch, overall (including reliability, ease of install, speed etc) |
