2012-11-03 08:08:00 | I have more faith in Kim Dotcom to provide free Internet than Chorus who can't even provide it for a fee half the time. | Agent_24 (57) | |

2012-11-03 22:39:00 | Kim should just do it on his own, watch as the masses go on it then claim ownership like a boss. | rob_on_guitar (4196) | |
2012-11-03 23:50:00 | Well "free" doesn't mean high speed but I definately support a basic 2mbps packages (or even 1mbps, I mean it IS free) for people. Rather than pay per GB pay for speed. In china we get $30 for unlimited ADSL, if you want more speed (fibre) you pay more. At Full fibre connection speed (100mbit) you start getting caps. Starting at 200GB. Should do that in NZ once the fibre network is running.

2012-11-04 01:04:00 | In china we get $30 for unlimited ADSL In China the Internet is limited in other ways... I would much rather have a cap here than no cap over there.

2012-11-04 04:16:00 | I think we despeartly need a second cabel to break Telecoms monolpy on the Southern Cross. Kim Dot com has certainly stirred things up. But there would be too many problems with him owning it. But I do think his wife would make a great advertising face for it. And it would bring NZ into the modern world along with Gabon. I am sick of just Nigeria and Benin being at the forefront.

2012-11-04 04:45:00 | KimDotCom is not restarting the Pacific cable but is investigating it after he sues a couple of companys in America and the money he gets from that he will put into starting the cable thats if he wins and it won't be free. He won't be charging the likes of Telecom, Vodafone etc, who will be billing the end user like us for the use of there equipment which shall be alot cheaper than what we are paying now. Commercial users will be charged though. :)
