| 1470977 | 2020-08-08 06:10:00 | voda wants to move me from adsl to wireless. What realistic speeds can I espect. Currently I have cabinet 50 mtr from my boundry and adsl is giving 60Mb down and 25 up. I do have fibre on the building so maybe that is the way to go? Piva |

| 1470979 | 2020-08-08 08:04:00 | Vodafone keeps all the money if you are on wireless. Fibre or DSL they have to give Chorus a share as they own the network. That is why an ISP will encourage people to opt for wireless. I second Gary's advice Fibre all the way if possible. | CliveM (6007) | ||

Piva For what its worth, my wireless broadband here in Auckland gives me speeds about the same as you are getting with your VDSL. I haven't noticed congestion problems in the evenings. Just in the last couple of weeks we have watched about ten online NZ Film Festival movies, and they all came through fine, no disturbances at all, and this is in the 8 to 10 pm time slot. Resolution set to 720p option. |
