I understand Paul but I get frustrated by some Americanisms. The latest being the word "solder" They have changed it to "sodder" Sounds terrible. Another is "Herbs" Now called "Erbs" When I complain to my Brother in law's American wife she comes out with that wonderful US saying..... "Suck it up Ken, we rule the world"

And while we're about it, the Grammar Police have alerted me to an even more heinous transgression:

Its NOT ENGLISH. Its FRENCH

You must mean,

It's not English, it's French ... as in, it is not English, it is French

Or in more common - and correct - usage, it isn't English [...]
