That is entirely up to you. I have yet to find anything that I would describe as a hassel. You can search for your model laptop on line and you will soon see if anyone else has had a problem upgrading that device. MS puts a block on the upgrade if there is a known issue with a device until they have a fix. For example the Surface Pro 7 did not receive the upgrade for about 2 months after it was released in the wild.
It is always smart to make an image of your laptop before upgrading so you can get back to where you are now easily.
Last word from me if your device is satisfactory for your needs as is then do not worry about it.

1471432 2020-09-18 05:59:00 Whewww, stupid MS asked me to download update 2004 and me thinking AMD had passed over their latest update, yeah right.

All ok, AMD's latest was end of August 2020 and downloaded just fine.

Now all I have to do is get rid of the MS games and bring back the W7 series. rofl.

Windows 7 Games reinstall - Piece of cake. Download from winaero.com

Works fine, all you have to do is untick the internet games and if you want the last tick that opens the winaero Site. The Games will be at the top of the start menu once installed. What I do is right click on any game, More - Open File Location, in the address bar go back 1 level to programs, right click on the Games Folder - Send to Desktop, Create Shortcut, Or even Pin top start.

1471434 2020-09-18 08:44:00 Here you go Lurking done one better a video showing how, sorry its a bit slow, (3 min 17) this computer is doing its nightly backup & running Windows Sandbox & installing W7 Games, all at the same time. Normally its a LOT faster than this (Approx 1 Minute), it always takes a few seconds after clicking install to open, thats normal.

1471435 2020-09-18 09:11:00 Thanks wai, I have the W7 games tucked away and it's just a case of re-loading them.

Amazed at how many files are deleted, if that's the word to use, have a 32gig stick with important files and programs on it, which also sits on this lappy, named 32gig and I only need to double click on it to list all those files, now it's gone burger. Sol, Spider & Freecell sat on that stick.

Will look at the link in your post.

1471437 2020-09-18 19:27:00 I have found that with Windows upgrades they delete in Windows/System32 the file CardGames.dll. I now keep a copy in my Utilities folder and just copy that into the Windows/System32 folder. Works every time. Bryan (147)
