1476222 2021-04-10 02:14:00 We have a document that needs to be filled in and rather than filling it in by printing it out then handwriting we would like to fill it in by typing in the document then sending it off.

Is there any way we are able to do that?:help:

Your help is appreciated.:thanks

1476223 2021-04-10 03:30:00 Is it a Word "Doc" or do you mean PDF? Ofthesea (14129)

1476225 2021-04-10 05:00:00 Depends how the PDF was created, but most PDF application have a function that allow filling out forms. Look for a menu option in your PDF application of choice... johcar (6283)
1476226 2021-04-10 07:41:00 As much as I don't like Adobe Reader ( due to damn pop ups wanting updates or paid options) It does have a good PDF Filler. In The Free version you open your PDF, click on Fill and Sign ( righthand side) click where you want to add text fill in as required, then Save it.

On Forms that are meant to be filled in some will automatically prompt/ select the box to be filled.

Another one I've been using for some time now is Ashampoo PDF Free - its has a option to create a Text box to fill in forms.

WORD OF CAUTION THOUGH -- Always make a copy of the original blank, once you add in text you cant remove it once its saved, this is for any of them

1476227 2021-04-10 09:01:00 Thank you, Wainui.

I downloaded Ashampoo PDF Free and that part went alright, but when I opened the document I want to edit it had printed, in large letters over the form; "Member's Name." Do you know how I can get rid of that, please?

1476228 2021-04-10 12:41:00 IF you have access to MS office word is actually pretty good at converting PDF forms into editable documents, at least the newer version of word is. dugimodo (138)

Thank you, Wainui. I downloaded Adobe Reader (along with a couple of McAfee programmes that I do not want and will delete) and it worked. We have filled in the form and sent it off.

Thank you very much for your help. The document looks so much better than writing it by hand.

Do you know how I can get rid of that, please? You sure you got the free one ?? Never had that pop over, when you install the Free one it prompts you to get a free Licence, but that's all.

This is the interface of the Free:
