Yes, well almost (a boy racer) I used to race trail bikes way back before the japanese factories manufactured true enduro bikes. We had to modify either trail bikes or motocross bikes. Four stroke bikes benefited from a better muffler, one brand of which was "Basani" (or similar spelling) and they had a formula as a kind of motto.

I don't remember the true formula but it roughly translated into :-

Less noise = greater horse power

I would like to get the formula correct and to see it adopted by the 'boy racers' with their noisy mufflers ...........

OH gee well umm i'm not actually that good at maths. You see i'm an accountant, i deal with + and - chuck a < in there and my face goes blank ;-)
