2003-04-21 10:17:00 | this is sorta off topic here but it intrigues me as to some of the sign in names people have ...... why did you pick such a name? or how did you pick such a name? if anyone wants to comment go ahead..... im sure others would be interested, especially some of the newer members ..... how they got theirs and how some of the longer term members got theirs.... make our day, or give us a laugh if possible,..... mine is because someone online was chatting to me and had suggested it when we were joining PF1 and it also happens to be my nickname for my car..... my Fiat Bambina....... LOL so any others? sorry ahead of time if this annoys any current members as this is or may not be appropriate material to discuss beetle

2003-04-21 11:45:00 | many years ago when I was issued my first unix account the system for usernames was the first 6 letters of your last name and the first two letters of your first name. derek robson becomes a login of robsonde every computer system I have ever come across I have found that robsonde is not used by anyone and so I take that where ever I go.

2003-04-21 20:01:00 | Richard Principal was a name I came up with a few years ago, Earnie Little is one getting around lately, What I did was type "Teacher" into word processor then I clicked "thesaurus" and up poped Principal, so that was great "Dick head teacher" What about Allen Pee or Helen Pee, Put on your thinking cap and I am sure you could came up with a shocker,

2003-04-21 21:23:00 | Got given a personalized number plate for my 21st. I got to choose what it said and came up with CYABRO (See ya bro!) Was on an EVO1 at the time so I thought it was appropriate. So now I use that whenever I need a login name/user name.

2003-04-21 23:17:00 | I've had them all.. I want a name that will be remembered by people I guess! I began with NetFreak about 6 odd years ago when that name wasnt registered (All these names became @hotmail.com accounts...) I then progressed onto Bozo1247 (Dunno where the 1247 came from but it rolled off the tongue nicely). Then was Chilling_Silence, UltraDarkviolet, BrightStellarNova, Iced_Excalibur, Psycho_Sabertooth, Fireproof_Soldier, and a myriad of others over time. Whats in a name for me? Something that reflects my mood when I setup the account I guess... Some of the names have interesting meanings, like C_S.... which later became one of the most popular games ever... but Chilling_Silence to me meant a cold silence, where you're feeling all alone.. but many years have passed since then, lol! A name for me is an identity, and something that I can be remembered by. You all know me around here as Chill. and not by my real name, though some like Susan B, Cyberchuck etc. do, there can be dangers that come from using your real name/email address. Hope this helps ya a bit :-) Cheers Chill.

2003-04-22 06:10:00 | Right, well... I think my first nickname I came up with was Sparky, due to the fact that, about five years ago, every time I touched a shopping trolley, I received a shock of static electricity. Later progressed onto... *tries to remember really hard*... can't really recall having another nickname between then and my former one, so I'll move on. Next came Agent Excorcist - not really sure why I choose the "Agent" bit, but back then (two years I think) I had The Exorcist in my head, so decided to use it - I also didn't know how to spell exorcist properly, which is why I spelt it "excorcist" whenever I used it. The only place I recall using this was in games and over at Planet Half-Life Forums, which I have since abandoned (not enough time, though it was fun). Then I came to "agent" - dropping the "Excorcist" bit and moving to lower case only. I should really create a graphic of it. I think I'll stick with this nickname too.
