137856 2003-04-22 09:45:00 Quite simply, can I do it?
I know I can read/write to FAT16/32 in Linux, and Read-Only for NTFS partitions, but what about reading Ext3/2 in Windows?

Im not sure what RedHat 9 partitions them as.. Ext2 or 3?

But anyways, can it be done?

Cheers

137857 2003-04-22 09:57:00 I am unaware of any way to "mount" an ext2 or ext3 drive and assign it a drive letter under Windows.

There is however a program called Explore2fs which has a common Explorer style interface which will allow you to view the contents of an ext2 or ext3 drive or partition.

You can find it here:

137859 2003-04-22 10:19:00 Explore2FS is good and I've used it for reading/copying files from Linux to Windows.

It's simple to use too. There's also a driver for windows that allows you to read/write linux partitions. I had a look at it but thought it's just like NTFS support for linux. You've got a big chance of screwing everything up so I got rid of it.
