137506 2003-04-21 07:41:00 Hi all
I just upgrade my exsiting m/b and cpu to a 1800+ xp athlon and MSI K7T Turbo2 motherboard.
I have done a clean install of win98se with all up to date drivers for everything and still it keeps crashing.
Main problem is when copying large amounts of files or burning cd etc it justs restarts in the middle of doing anything.
I am using the proper Heatsink on the cpu and it only gets up to about 40 degrees.
Using a Western Digital HDD 40 Gb @ 7200 rpm @ 133
Win98se
512 Mb sdram @ 133
1800+Xp @ 133
DirectX 8.1
Does anybody know of certain issues with MSI & AMD ??
I know there is a issue with AMD and Windows XP but does this effect Windows 98SE ??
Thanks in advance to everybody..

137507 2003-04-21 07:49:00 What size power supply. Ideally should be at least 300Watt. Sounds like when you are working it hard, the volts drop too much and PC resets. Pheonix (280)
