I've found a "tweak" which will let me hide disk drives on a particular computer. I just want to know if anyoe has tried anything similar, and if it worked. Also, does it hide the drives from the Open and Save/Save as dialog boxes? |

Can be done via 3rd party software, or a registry tweak. I haven't done it yet, so I don't know if it works. |

Or PartitionMagic, or other HDD tools. They actually make sure that an OS doesn't know the drive is there, not just hide it from view. |

with my tweak it isn't physically gone - it's just hidden from My Computer. It can still be accessed via "other' methods.
I was wondering... what if I hid C Drive? Would windows still boot up? |

Most likely, as Windows could still read off it. You could probably still type C:\ into the Run prompt, and access it. |

Yes. It does just hide it from Windows Explorer. I didn't try Dos prompt or Run prompt or anything like that... I was just curious after finding the tweak the other day. |
