138619 2003-04-24 19:09:00 HI

I'm using cd creator and Nero rom.I use nero because cd creator doesn't have support on making vcds.
My question is my cd writer is an external writer 4x4x6x.
Adaptec cd creator manages to write using 4x but nero however read-buffer falls after 8% of completion. When the read buffer falls to 0% the cd writer stops and says error.
What i want to know is how do i fix this problem. If adaptec can copy at 4x why can't nero copy at 4x.I had to change nero to copy at 2x.Which is indeed exteremely slow

138620 2003-04-24 20:43:00 Umm, whats the brand of the burner ying? Is it USB 1, 2?? Firewire? Also is it supported by Nero?

And whats on it PIO mode or DMA mode? And what version of Windows are you using? What version of Nero, and CD Creator, are you using?

And what exactly are you ripping? DVD's? or music cd's for mp3's?

138622 2003-04-25 06:17:00 OK. Some more ram might help. Also, try defragging the hdd in safe mode. Sometimes, errors can happen, when you burn. One reaosn maybe coz the hdd is badly defragmented...Other than that, I would get an internal burner instead of usb 1.1. Internal burners are also faster and more reliable. Spacemannz (808)
