| 138498 | 2003-04-24 08:36:00 | whenever i start up my brothers computer when the windows ME logo pops up, in the dos background it says something like "setup is currently updating your system" "this may take a few minutes" i dont believe its the auto updates cos theyre disabled and it cant be any installed programs like Kazaa cos there arent any installed and the system was given a recent format does anyone know what the fudge it is??? |

| 138501 | 2003-04-24 19:06:00 | Try start>run>msconfig [enter] look in the startup property sheet / tab for anything unusual also check in the startup folder as another common place i would suggest you look at the running process and track it down to what it is, folder location and apparent function with say ctrl+alt+del [breifly] or more advanced software to do so. |
