138984 2003-04-26 05:09:00 computer is 550 mhz pent III operating system 98 se
every time I boot the system the computer starts in the "safe Mode " but without the four safe mode words in the corners.
My computer is a "Family" one with the hard drive seperated into five equil parts with individual passwords for each family member.
I have lost the individual settings and password arrangements.
I have reloaded the operating system once so far without any improvement. I have run scan disc three times without find any errors.
This started when I defraged one of the sections of the hard disc.

138985 2003-04-26 06:30:00 This "safe mode" without the safe mode words displayed is because windows is running on the default video drivers. You will need to install the correct video drivers. If you have onboard graphics you should find the drivers on your Motherboard CD or if you have a separate Video Card, you should find the appropriate drivers on the graphic card CD.
