138938 2003-04-25 22:49:00 Ive been leaving WinMX alive in my Systray on my PC, which is a client PC on a LAN.

When the Gateway connects, my PC is connected too... and so WinMX connects and downloads my remaining items.

I dont want a sped-up manager, or if so, I want to be able to set the max speed or bandwidth percentage used etc.

I want it to notice that Im connected to the net, and silently resume the downloads, as DAP doesnt do that at the moment.

Anybody know of a good download manager that does this?

Cheers

138940 2003-04-25 23:04:00 Thanks Stu,

I know about all those managers, and have tried a good majority of them .

You'll notice Ive posted in both those threads :-)

But anyways, Im after one that specifically notices when Im online, and resumes the downloads!

Thanks

138942 2003-04-26 00:08:00 If you want a good download manager try getright.
It may do what you want out of the box, if not it has some very advanced options surrounding connecting, including the ability to run a script to create the connection.

Just an idea, but perhaps you could come up with a solution combining task scheduler and the scripting capabilities to make a solution. eg schedule a script which checks if getright is started, if not then start it. Getright will run your connect script to connect, that script checks for a connection, if present allows getright to continue, if not then it kills getright and waits for the scheduler to start getright again.
