138976 2003-04-26 04:41:00 Some time ago, I made the mistake of leaving my e-mail address with Microsoft. Since then I have begun receiving spam. What I have tended to do is add the spammers to a growing list of blocked senders. This seems to have worked mostly in that I have not had any spam for a number of days now. But my question is, what happens to the blocked messages? Are they just returned to sender? Are they accumulating somewhere on my hard drive? Bumfluff (3523)

where???? On a website e . g . a forum???? etc…
Because if that is the case it will be a Spam bot, which got your e-mail address, MS will not be using spaming or sold your e-mail address to spammers

If u are using a mail progume e . g . outlook/outlook express those messages will be in the Deleted Items folder but if u are using Mail Washer they are delete of the mail server & trying to go back to sender

138978 2003-04-26 05:34:00 A very good point that. I heard somewhere that once you download them they are there to stay somewhere.

I would download the excellent Mailwasher. You can bounce spam or any other emails to your hearts content. You are also able to read/delete mail off the server, without actually receiving it in Outlook Express. Very good feature that.
