139354 2003-04-27 08:33:00 Hi is there a free utility to save a copy of a game onto a drive so that you don't need to keep inserting the cd rom?
Thanks.

139355 2003-04-27 08:48:00 A program that has virtual drive. For example, cloneCD has the virtual drive. What you do is make an image of the CD it keeps asking for and put it in a folder. Go into my computer and you will find the Virtual CD drive, right click and choose mount and point it to the image. Then open your game and play. Pheonix (280)
139356 2003-04-27 08:56:00 Hey. This is highly "suspect (in some peoples books) BUT very easierly done. The type of thing you are looking for is called a "crack". There are HEAPS (100's) of site that clam to have cracks but I have found one that is true (and has none of those porn pop ups). Click on "Game Fixes" and find the right game - then click on "Game Fixes" and find the right version and language. These files usally just overwrite the .exe file that runs the program/game" target="_blank">www.megagames.com . Click on "Game Fixes" and find the right game - then click on "Game Fixes" and find the right version and language. These files usally just overwrite the .exe file that runs the program to make it think that the CD is in the drive. If it is a game you are wanting to play, be carfull as some games need the CD to play so... music or sound or movie clips off the CD (Tiberian Sun being one). But other than that, this site is great.

James

BTW: Just in case, make a copy of the files you are overwritting JUST to be sure. :P

139357 2003-04-27 09:02:00 Try downloading the Demo of NERO Burning ROM from Ahead.de, as it comes with Nero Image Drive, which I have used successfully on a number of occasions.

I find it easy to use and very good and clear-cut.

Simply make an Image of the CD, open ImageDrive, Set the image and Mount it!

All done!
