139377 2003-04-27 08:18:00 Hi, is anybody using net4u as a dial up provider.

If somebody could give me a report, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

There has been a lot of uproar with them never having lines available, not owning enough bandwidth, not enough IP's to allocate etc etc.

They also operate I believe several virtual ISP's underneath themselves, particularly neuron.net.nz which is plagued by similar problems.

They also have a lot of administrative issues, including no security for Credit Card payments - all done through an e-mail form on the web-site etc etc.

All signs point to no... however I may be biased...

What attracted you to them in the first place?

Yup, but I wouldn't use them either ;-)

That said, Xtra did manage to get the problem resolved pretty quickly, however their incestual relationship with Telecom could be related to that

139384 2003-04-28 05:08:00 Even though they are really the same company they are considered two different Entities. Aren't we glad it's not MSNTelecom or else we would never know when our phones would crash or when the next Service Pack is released for them. Kame (312)
139385 2003-04-28 05:50:00 Service Packs for Telephones... interesting. somebody (208)

No offence or anything, but because Xtra is also known as "Telecom Internet Services" - which it has been called in all the past WhitePages. Anyway, how could someone have an incestual relationship with oneself???

I have seen Netguide advertising NET4U in their magazine - they're even giving away an ADSL Modem and free connection to one lucky subscriber!
