| 139185 | 2003-04-27 00:41:00 | i'm interestd to know why you need that type of ram instead of just the usuall pc133 ?? | tweak'e (174) | ||
| 139186 | 2003-04-27 02:16:00 | I put a system together about 2 yrs ago with an ASUS A7V m/b and the manual recommended to use VCM becaues it was 'new generation' and it's 'core design provides up to 50% higher SDRAM speed at reduced power consumption of about 30%' Some websites were raving about it at the time too but it never seemed to hit the mainstream I think because not many m/b's supported it. I want to increase my memory to 512MB and you can't mix standard PC133 and VCM so it's either find some more VCM or ditch it and get 512 of SDRAM....hopefully someone may have some out there somewhere.... |
