139150 2003-04-26 21:07:00 What am I doing wrong? I have successfully burnt discs before but today things have gone awry. I am using an Aopen drive with Nero software, when I choose the directories that I want to copy and start the burn process Nero identifies the drive, says that Justlink is activated. A new window opens and asks for the medium to write to be inserted in the drive. ( I have already inserted a blank and have tried a few other blanks as well ). I close the draw of the drive and wait, nothing happens.
Can somebody point me in the right direction please, am I missing something basic? Thanx.

139156 2003-04-27 00:33:00 sometimes if the aspi driver goes awol it can cause this. what ver of nero are you useing? tweak'e (174)
139157 2003-04-27 02:40:00 Yes it reads ok. g4rs (744)
139158 2003-04-27 03:06:00 I also have an Aopen CDRW 40 x 12 x48 (I forget the model number) and use Nero when necessary (mostly I use the inbuilt cd burning software in XP for burning back ups).

I have occasionally had the same fault with the drive. A restart fixes it each time. I have no idea what is the basis of the fault - it just refuses to recognise that I have inserted a blank CD.

I think the problem is with the drive software, not Nero, because it happens whether I am using Nero or not. Have you tried a restart?

Annoying behaviour, but it is an infrequent occurence.
