| 139146 | 2003-04-26 18:52:00 | Try looking on the circuit board for the 'fcc' code which is a f and 2 c's which are combined sort of then lookup the american website for fcc and type in that code. It should tell you specifics for the device. Note: i am not really here to help at the moment i dont have endless hours to wade through all the pages. I did notice this item on the front load page however. |

| 139147 | 2003-04-27 00:37:00 | also you can get reference drivers for the chip it uses. check the chip model no. however the reference drivers don't always support all the features. in all honesty, unless its a really good modem, its cheaper and easier to chuck it and buy a new one. | tweak'e (174) | ||
| 139148 | 2003-04-27 02:00:00 | www.modem-help.co.uk Seach for the Brand/model or chip No at this site (buttons at top of page). Will give you known issues, drivers, firmware flash (if a flashable hardware modem), etc. For Conexant also try under Rockwell. Look on the chip and telepermit sticker for clues as to the model and chip used eg: RCV56HCF or V1456VQH-R6. HTH Murray P |

| 139149 | 2003-04-27 02:07:00 | Oopps!, misinformation on my previous post :8} Don't worry about firmware updates. PCI modem, will not be a flashable hardware type. Just the drivers. May take a few goes/installs to get it going, can be a bit cranky. Cheers Murray P |
