The two sides of the arguement is: You should not keep the person alive only because the ventilator breathes for them, and drugs keep their heart beating, because it's morally incorrect. The other side of it is: We have the technology such as life support to help keep people alive, and we can hope that it will give the body enough time for it to heal. I know now is not a very good time to start discussion on this issue, but it's just factual information I though might be interesting at this particular time. |

| 139576 | 2003-04-29 11:35:00 | well depending.. his brain mite still be functioning...well the not damaged parts... and since no o2 would be going in...if they taken oxegyn off too.. then they cant say ur dead till ur brain is not going...and ur heart actually stops.. what life support does is actually keep ur heart beating and ur brain going and o2 going thru... so i would say give or take 48 hours then yeah... but i know some cases ppl actually die straight away...but remember he was in a coma too.. I really apologise if i am wrong at all.,.i just going from what i see or hear thru the media |
