139693 2003-04-28 23:20:00 Why has the person who designed this site and is supposed to keep it working still working for PC World?
Anywhere else he would have been sacked weeks ago.

139694 2003-04-28 23:28:00 Come on now, that's not very nice!
PC World supply this site free of charge so you can't expect it to work 100% perfect all the time.
I'm sure whoever looks after it has other jobs to do that are more important.
How do you know that they hadn't taken it down for a reason?

Easy now Jack. You don't know what went wrong and until we do comments like yours have no place on this friendly helpful forum.

139696 2003-04-29 00:04:00 Now lets see..
----a complex dynamic content site with a dedicated server.
----designed for a minority in a very small country.
----server run from a publishing companys internal network.

Yip it's PERFECTLY reasonable to except 24 hour monitoring, so the server can get the quick reboot that surely was all that was needed, it is that simple isn't it???????

Excuse the sarcasm.

If you've got reliability problems, you buy yourself a server class machine, learn how to configure it, buy a domain, and a broadband connection and start your own forum.

139698 2003-04-29 00:32:00 Great idea WTF, then the other two unhelpful and complaining posters can join Jack in their own private winge forum. Maybe Tim will join them as well.

No names, no pack drill, but they know who they are and will doubtlessly bite. :|

Cheers

139700 2003-04-29 01:47:00 I don't understand. All you people who grizzle about every little fault with Microsoft are willing to overlook every fault with Press F1. Funny!

139701 2003-04-29 01:52:00 Like I said in my first post, PressF1 is free! And a great service it is too! FOR FREE!
If I got my Microsoft Windows and Office for free then I wouldn't complain about them either! :)
