| 140190 | 2003-04-30 00:10:00 | I ran into a problem a while ago where I could not change the display properties on my PC. Every time I'd try I would recieve this message... "The display control panel is unable to change the display settings. Please check your display hardware in device manager." I searched high and low for an answer, System Restore would not work, uninstalling and re-installing my drivers didn't work, even posting my problem on Press F1 didn't work! I have recently found the answer and so thought I would post it here in case anyone else ever has the same problem. The problem is caused(?) by Netmeeting. When I turn off remote desktop sharing, the fault goes away. I don't know why it decided to fault now after running fine for 12-18 months and I don't know why this would cause a fault by hey, it works! |
