139842 2003-04-29 06:56:00 At start of install, message comes up "The system cannot open the device or file specified" - Internal error 2755.110. What does it all mean? PaddzO (3695)
139843 2003-04-29 06:58:00 I don't know the answer, but you could try the support pages at Symantec - I've found these very good when I've had a couple of problems with Symantec software.

139844 2003-04-29 07:09:00 You may find this Symantec Knowledge Base article helpful:

Four-digit error messages during Ghost installation (service1.symantec.com)

It is also recommended that clear some room in your TEMP folder prior to the installation process.

139845 2003-04-29 08:21:00 Hah, I'm probably wrong- but does not Ghost require access to DOS, something that XP may not support?

More knowledgeable please tell us the facts.

139846 2003-04-29 08:21:00 Good stuff Jen! I was wanting to go search through Symantec for more help, but I ran out of time so didn't get a chance - you saved me the job :D

139847 2003-04-29 08:25:00 Ghost creates its own boot disks, and then can access parts of disks that DOS cannot, so the OS on the HDD really has nothing to do with using Ghost.
