| 140578 | 2003-05-01 06:57:00 | The first place you should look is in the programmes own settings before disabling it manually because many horrible apps (eg realplayer) will add themselves to the startup list again each time they are started. To disable programmes manually, goto start-run, and enter "msconfig". The entries are listed under the startup tab. Personally I use startup control panel (www.mlin.net), because its a bit nicer to use. BTW, Is there a volunteer to write a FAQ for this? I'll probably forgotten about it before I have time to write one. |
