| 140318 | 2003-04-30 10:33:00 | Hi - When you go to download something and it comes up with the box that says "Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer" - which is the right thing to do ?:| | Ladybug (3129) | ||
| 140319 | 2003-04-30 10:36:00 | Hey I would reccomend clicking save as what this does is it downloads the file to your computer and you can install at a time which suits you. It also means that should something happen, you can easily reinstall at a later stage. However, clicking open downloads the file to your Temporary Internet Files Folder and then automatically loads the file from there when the entire file is downloaded. Either way you end up downloading the entire file CyberChuck |

If you try to open it on downloading, it can take ages and is open to corruption by noise or being cutoff. Definitely not recommended to open online. | Pheonix (280) | ||

If you only have one drive like C:\ then create a folder (directory) then download to there. Then install. I don't ever install from the server. JMHO :-) |
