140264 2003-04-30 07:50:00 is there a problen keeping all these things close together floyds (3095)
140265 2003-04-30 09:40:00 Two things come to mind, and they are both concerning the monitor. Stereo speakers are not shielded and can cause discolouration in the monitor. Also devices that use transformers can cause a "shimmer" of the picture if too close. Apart from that, nothing else comes to mind. Mind you, if you had an LCD screen, this would not happen. 140266 2003-04-30 10:14:00 also may be some problem with fuzzy radio when the comp is running, turning the monitor off helps a lil
:)

140267 2003-04-30 10:21:00 It might help the radio, but not whatever you are trying to do on th pc. wotz (335)
140268 2003-04-30 10:43:00 Cheap cordless phones do not work well in proximity to the PC or monitor. 900 Mhz, or 2.4 GHz cordless phones work OK though godfather (25)
140269 2003-04-30 17:36:00 Vodafones phones emmit a terrible interferance sometimes.
I find this VERY useful as i sit here with my sounds up loud, and cannot hear the ringing..
I simply sit my phone at the base of the screen. The screen going silly is a dead give away that there is a call or text message comming in.

140270 2003-05-01 01:22:00 Yeah I know what you're saying Clueless. Very handy for knowing when the phone rings.

I can also hear my text message come through the speakers before it gets to the phone 8)

140271 2003-05-01 02:13:00 So with a DSP programme piped to a text-to-speech programme, you don't have to touch the phone. :D Graham L (2)
140272 2003-05-01 02:31:00 Nah I wasn't referring to that Graham. Just the dit der dit dit dit that comes through the speakers.

Got to love interference at times.

140273 2003-05-01 02:39:00 Where's your ambition ? It only needs a bit of software. They tell me that the frequency hopping isn't too hard to manage, and the encryption is laughable. :D Graham L (2)
