It's a friends PC, a new HP machine (not my suggestion to buy) running XP pro, what's the procedure and where is a good source for the driver ? | MichaelNZ (3715)

If that was the case, then it would be a surprise, as the supplied drivers should be USB 2 already. USB 1.1 hardware cannot be upgraded by "drivers" to USB 2 You would need to buy a USB 2 PCI card, which would either be auto-detected by XP, or would have drivers supplied. |

The user was supplied with a sony pen drive with the machine purchase and is receiving an error message when it's plugged in, I think I'll have to investigate further and glean a few more facts before deciding on an appropriate course of action. | MichaelNZ (3715)
