| 140903 | 2003-05-03 01:10:00 | Everybody, please be on the lookout for people who may try to sell you speakers cheaply. Recently we had 4 stolen, which total about $7000 in value. These are very large and heavy speakers - all are powered speakers, designed for concert use. |

Maybe a trip down to the local Cash Converters store will be a good idea :D These are extremely large items (the RCF speakers are VERY heavy - needs 2 people to carry longer distances) so I am concerned it was a planned "steal to order" attack. The fact that a mixer worth over $10000 wasn't stolen also could also suggest that. Then again... the alarm going off could have scared the thiefs a bit. A break in was reported during the school holidays, but the speakers weren't noticed to be missing until yesterday. All possibilities of them being hired/lent/borrowed out to people have been eliminated. |
