| 140852 | 2003-05-02 13:16:00 | Query, Looking in the user groups on XP Pro I find there's a new user "ASP.NET",I guess it comes from a windows auto update, what should I do with it? is it safe to delete or does it pose some danger? Cheers Krafty |

| 140853 | 2003-05-02 14:07:00 | i think it is to do with IIS (Internet info services or server) it is to do with server side programming if you are running a html server off you computer it will stop it i'm unsure what it will do otherwise i'd leave it if you have a fire wall it will serve no threat |

| 140854 | 2003-05-02 20:35:00 | Like Sc0ut said - it is most likely part of IIS, which is the ASP WebServer that comes with WindowsXP. To confirm this go into the Control Panel and click on Administrative Tools (under Classic View) - if Internet Information Services is there, then you most likely have IIS installed You can either leave it alone, or you can just uninstall it - go back into Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, switch to Add/Remove Windows Components and then take the Tick out of Internet Information Services (IIS) - click OK and IIS will be uninstalled CyberChuck |
