140710 2003-05-02 05:02:00 I wrote this little app to launch websites from ur desktop...

www.geocities.com

Download it and tell me wat you think or give suggestions for improvements etc.

It doesn't come with any help, but I'll add that when I get the chance.

Thanks!

140711 2003-05-02 05:02:00 Sorry - this should have an OT heading. My bad. promethius (1998)
140712 2003-05-02 05:05:00 ...hmmm, link only seems to work if you right click it and click "Save target as" (IE). promethius (1998)

140714 2003-05-03 06:05:00 When you click that link, what are you downloading. Hope its nothing that will stuff my computer up. A little info might have been appreciated. Baldy (26)
140715 2003-05-03 06:11:00 Nothing 2 be scared of! Just a .zip file that contains a setup .exe. I ain't trying to stuff up your comp, just want you to d/l and try my program. scan the .zip if you want b4 you install it, but I swear there is nothing malicious about it.

Thanks.

140716 2003-05-03 07:32:00 lol, i thought it might have been like that joke thing that Chill posted a few weeks ago LOL

140717 2003-05-03 11:22:00 1) is it possible to have an option to open links in new windows??? This would mean that the Window I am currently browsing doesn't get changed when I open a new URL...
2) A help file would be nice... not that it's needed or anything, but it would be nice
3) The ability to name URLS - for example, PressF1 goes to www.pressf1.co.nz
4) Maybe the ability to wait in the System Tray?? therefore it's all ready. Then you can add stuff like Launch on Startup, etc

140718 2003-05-03 11:30:00 1) Yes...hold shift while clicking "Go"
2)...Yea...when I get the time!
3)Hmmm....sounds good I'll implement it (next ver)
4)Sounds hard...I'll try!

Thanks for your input. :)

140719 2003-05-03 11:44:00 If you want to get really complex, you could add support for Proxy Servers and SOCKS5 servers with authentication... You might want to have a read of the RFC's though to check out what your doing cyberchuck (173)
