| 140654 | 2003-05-01 22:58:00 | Downloading programs from the internet is cool but some times. It seems you don't get a chance to steer the download into the right direction. E.g drivers,in some cases I'm downloading for my laptop. So let say I could steer the file into a particular place then it would be easy to c&p onto my cf card, then later on to my laptop. I'm being a bit vague I know. Um yea like when the download auto extracts & dissapears into the system. | Ron Bakker (356) | ||
| 140655 | 2003-05-01 23:26:00 | You should always get the option to save a downloaded instead of using the open option. Click on Save and browse to where you want it saved [then go and run your antivirus scanner over it before opening]. If the file auto-extracts, the original installer remains (that is the .exe which you double-clicked to auto-extract). You can then copy that .exe onto another PC and run again. Is this what you were meaning? |
