140642 2003-05-01 12:25:00 I will be giving win98 the boot soon & to take it's place win2000.Happy Happy Joy Joy.
But yes I have two hard drives, the primary is a Western digital se 80gig & the secondary drive is a Seagate 10gig. Now I was wondering if I could copy all my drivers to the secondary drive so when I reformat for win 2000 I could just pull the back in. I have heard that I don't need to reformat to blanket 98 with 2000 but I want a clean slate.

140643 2003-05-01 12:35:00 you should download all the latest drivers and sp3 before installing 2k, and you can store them on the secondary drive. I'm not sure about which drivers you currently have, but if they are 9x drivers, chances are they wont work well if at all for 2k

You are right to do a clean install.. its far better that way

140644 2003-05-01 13:27:00 Be weary of service pack 3 for Win 2000 as it uses some phone home software which gives out more than MS needs. mikebartnz (21)
