140849 2003-05-02 22:01:00 In the bottom right of netscapes tray is a tiny icon to puts netscape online or offline. I assume that if you have it in offline mode it will stay that way, and will not try to dial up. give it a go, Of course mine is a Linux system, and i have permanant connection, So i can't try to make sure, but i suspect this is your problem.

140850 2003-05-02 22:47:00 To dial up to the Internet when using Netscape on Windows XP, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connection.
2. Click the Advanced menu.
3. Click Dial-up Preferences.
4. Click the Autodial tab.
5. Select the checkbox next to the ISP you want the autodialer to use.
6. Click OK to confirm your changes.
