141265 2003-05-04 14:03:00 A long time ago
in a flat which I call home
an ex-flatmate wanted a PC.
He rang and got the run around.
He rang and couldn't get an answer.
He rang and really wanted to get the budget system, but Grant (is it) didn't seem interested in selling.
I myself will try to gain parts/systems from him when I upgrade, but I will stress the term try.
I would recommend trying different ways of contact, because I think he has some good deals.

141266 2003-05-04 20:58:00 If he's as good as everyone says he is, then perhaps he has enough regular customers that he doesn't need any more...? maybe his only next move is to get bigger and employ more people, to deal with the increased demand of 'word getting around', which may force him to be less competitive??
Being self employed is great, because you can take on as much work as you want.
If he has 1000 emails and phone calls a day, because he's so good and cheap, and he took someone else on to go through them all, and give quotes or whatever back, he'd have to put the price up, then he'd miss out on the thousands of dollars anyway!

Just a thought of someone self employed, sometimes deciding whether to take new customers or not...

141269 2003-05-04 23:51:00 I too had similar problems. I sent a couple of e-mails with no response. I live in Nelson and was looking for a system (still am) and his looked very attractive.
If anyone has bought a system from him I would be interesed in comments re service both before and after purchase and if anyone is from Nelson so much the better!

141270 2003-05-05 00:23:00 yes, your right cicero that didn't read too clearly, but maybe you got the gist?
and I've bought from computerfuture before which was harmless enough.

141272 2003-05-05 04:06:00 Just because I love links (www.tastech.co.nz/), and in case anyone is interested in looking at what deals (http:) he has, then please feel free to take a look (http://www.tastech.co.nz/).
I have noticed a steady drop in price, while the parts are on a steady climb.

141273 2003-05-05 04:40:00 I talked to them over the phone. I have never had a Problem with there service or there parts. the only problem I had was it was hard to hear the person on the other end of the line

:)

141274 2003-05-05 04:52:00 If you are wanting a good Computer Company In Nelson Try Proebus Ltd. They sell Only good parts and can make computers to order. at reasonable prices.

If you want to contact Tastech, Phoning them is the best way. that is how I contacted them, and had no problems from them.
