| 141052 | 2003-05-05 00:26:00 | > You run drives of the same ata speed on the same > channel otherwise the speed drops to the lowest speed > for both. er.....not quite. that only hppens when transfering data from one drive to the next. for most pc's it won't mke any difference what ata speeds the drives are (except for some incompatibilities). i did some testing ages ago with a cdrom slaved to an ata66 hardrive. there was no drop in speed at all. |
