141255 2003-05-04 05:05:00 OT a little bit, has anyone had any dealings with Tastech Computers in Christchurch?? Good or bad??

Cheers, Jeff.

141256 2003-05-04 05:10:00 My emails never got replies. I took my business elsewhere. wotz (335)
141257 2003-05-04 07:48:00 I know a few people that deal with Tastech exclusively and have no problems with them at all. In saying that there are others that dislike to use them.

There really is no good retailer as someone has had trouble from them at some stage.

141258 2003-05-04 07:51:00 I sent them an email about 1 1/2 weeks ago. No reply so far (unlike the many other computer stores I emailed at the same time who replied almost straight away).

141259 2003-05-04 08:08:00 It took 21/2 weeks to get my first enquiry answered & I'm still waiting on the second one.
That was back in Jan.
Went elsewhere
They missed out on a $4796 order.
Not really good enough.

141261 2003-05-04 08:32:00 It is a shame that Grant is really slack about responding to emails sometimes, maybe most times .

When I got my monitor from him he was very quick to reply to my emails and I had the monitor delivered the same day . However, when it came to getting most of my new PC parts from him the bugger didn't reply to my emails that time . That was really weird . Because he is local and cheap I gave him one last chance and phoned him . Dealing with him over the phone was much more productive and he got everything that I wanted by the next day for me to pick up .

I would deal with him again if he had what I wanted for a good price but I would not bother emailing .

141262 2003-05-04 08:51:00 For a pc business to not reply to emails is unacceptable to me. If they can't do that what confidence can I take that they will supply the product at al? wotz (335)

Maybe the email you sent went missing. If I was going to spend that sort of money, I think I would go for the personal touch. IE: a phonecall, or visit to the shop

141264 2003-05-04 09:37:00 You've also got to remember that some places aren't only on an email basis. I think if you were in the same position your priority would be the person standing in front of you with cash-in-hand than someone a few hundred kilometres away.

Also in some cases it's not that a business isn't replying it is that the emails have got lost in the process. Emails don't always get through.
