Here are the discs that have worked well for me Good: SKC (White with light blue dye) TDK Gold Acer Media Kodak, Kodak Gold Mitsubishi Chemical (those NEON ones) 4KUS (best!!!, (sub-company of Lite-ON) Bad: Imation 1-40x DSE unbranded & DSE Imation Terrible: Transonic 1-24x (from The Warehouse) - will only record at 8x and the dye/cover is always chipping off.
